Building stuff in SL

I built a simple plane thing in Second Life to demonstrate building stuff to my dad. It's nothing special, took me about 20-ish minutes to make.

The flight scripts and stuff came out of the freebie HC-1 Halcyon (which is in a box marked "Free Hovercar" in the "11 Free Vehicles -03/07-" at Yadni's Junkyard. The music I got from Newgrounds Audio Portal, it's two songs by Denny Schneidemesser (danman87) edited together - Entering the Stronghold, and then The Gift.

you have to pay money to build stuff dont you? thats what i heard :(

@Noahman664 To use the in-world building tool doesn't cost any money. If you want to create content in a 3-D modelling program such as Blender, you will need to upload that, which costs ten linden dollars (which is about 3.6 cents). You will also need to pay to upload any textures you want to use. This plane uses no textures and no 3-D models (or "sculpted prims"), so it didn't cost a dime to build. So the answer is no, you don't have to pay to build, but you can make better stuff if you do.

do you use the normal programs that is within sl? or have you downloaded something else?

@rebantus This was entirely built using the tools that Second Life has built-in, for building with primitive shapes like blocks and spheres, no external programs are needed.

That was pretty neat, thanks for taking the time to put it on youtube! I'm just getting into making videos for youtube and designing backgrounds through CS5, amazing what you can do with free tools though! Wish i could build custom website templates for free.
