In this video I demonstrate step by step how to make paper mache sculptures in the tradition of the Mexican cartoneros or paper mache artist. This type of sculptures are produced during the day of the dead festivities and for the burning of the Judas during the holy week celebration. In Mexico city, the Linares family have elevated the art of cartonerias to fine art. The techniques that y utilize are similar to those used by the world acclaimed Linares family.
