Fantastic and congratulations! Try and get help from parents and friends to keep flying and finish your licence!! I started flying when I was 12, but only finished my licence last week and I'm 46. Try not to wait that long. In Australia the age for a recreational pilot licence is 15 (check ra-aus.com.au). I think this makes sense, as young people can really build useful skills and get ahead sooner. I think the flying part is much easier to learn when you are young, so keep going :)

I received a few skeptic comments about my dad flying the plane, except that is my instructor, not my dad. It’s an instructors job to make sure I am flying safely and he has his own set of controls, in case something goes wrong...but, yes I did land the plane (and have done it several times since then) and it is an exciting experience every time!

Thanks for all the comments! I have been working towards getting my license since I was nine! I take a few lessons every year and log the hours toward my license. It is my goal to become a pilot as soon as I am legally allowed (age 17 in the USA).
