I guess i said that wrong. I don't hate the song, but I didn't like David singing it. He should have sang another song. Completely wrong song for him to sing. Need proof? One of the best singers to walk through idol, and he was eliminated after 2 weeks.

@spiffyzgrrl07 Exactly no need for me to re-type it, dude just chose the wrong songs for his vocal range!!! and I agree he definitely should have did "Change gon come" cause he nailed it at his audition!

Amazing! Omg, what a loss to us. His potential was huge. If he would have gone further, we could be listening to his cd right now. Unfortunately, that didn't happen. Extremely talented.

@marquis1835 I remember watching this live and I didn't think it was his best effort. As I watch it years later, I have come to the conclusion that the volume on his mic was too low. I see him belting out the song and you can barely hear him over the music. Over the years I've also factored in that my expectations were very high because of the "bar he set" with his audition. Not many days go by that I don't listen to his audition because it was just that good! Still the best, IMO.

He was my fav..i think he chose the wrong songs if he wouldve sang that Sam Cooke song that he auditioned with he would've made ir further..but thass juss mee♥
