A longer version of Mujinga, but still about 2 minutes shorter than the original (sorry, YT limits!)

  • Larryboy, seek and ye shall find!!! Thanks for your "split second" reaction to my request. I will buy you "mahindi ya kuchoma" when we meet, in Bungoma in Kenya it is called "machome na masambe". Thanks Larryboy, keep spinning that wheel.

  • Thats a promise! I sure miss the roast maize a lot! In Bungoma (home of 'Bwana Sigalame'!), there's a pub on the road towards Malaba, near the junction (i forget the name..) that often plays cool Franco n TPOK jazz cuts!

  • Larryboy, there was a dance style called "wheelbarrow" during our time. A girl danced with you holding you like a wheelbarrow, at a distance because she disliked you, but she would hold you close if she liked you!!! Well, OK Jazz music was long enough for one to feel a girl's warmth, but if it was a "wheelbarrow" thing you would curse and there was never "weka side B!" In Mombasa there is Kariba Bar near Buxton close to the stadium where Ok Jazz music rules the airwaves "usaweka usaweka bwana"

  • When I requested a Congolese gentleman to translate this song for me, he laughed violently and left without a word. Next time, he told me the thrust of it: a man is telling a woman that your husband likes to talk a lot; that he reveals all domestic secrets; and --- prepare to laugh -- if he didn't talk too much, how would I have known that you [the woman] have a mark on your back... ha ha ha!!1

  • How did someone manage to upload the entire funeral ceremony of the late Madilu System on YT totaling I hour and 33 minutes. Larry boy please find out and do justice to this piece for them folks who don' got it. Me I' blessed to have a very rare collection thanx to my Old Man and my hustling.

Merci

  • One of my best TPOK Jazz songs, anyway I am a TPOK fan through-and-through...I love TPOK Jazz so much! I hope TPOK Jazz Band will resurrect to entertain us in the Heavenly kingdom.
