Gogean's dismount was gorgeous and I admire her consistency, but her win here over Kui and Khorkina was one of the worst cases of highway robbery in the history of gymnastics.

Good for the commentators to not hold back about how ludicrous the scores were this final. Not only did Gina have a bobble, she had flat feet throughout--form is a deduction, too, and that should have been enough to put her below Kui, all difficulty aside. The only gymnast that the judges could have tried to justify winning is Khorkina, who was flawless.

Gogean is great but Khorkina and Kui deserved higher scores as well as Teza!!

the judging in this event was insane... but you can tell that the judges were told they had to award gogean with the gold if she made it possible (i.e. no falls) because there is no technical reason why she should have won... Kui and Khorkina were by far the better competitors here! and they were ROBBED!

@ispaht I laughed at that too. The most difficult move in her routine was what, a punch front, LOL! It was like they had to give her credit for something other than just merely being steady but in reality that is all she was.

Khorkina should have once based on the scoring system then. Kui 2nd gogean 3rd. all of there routines were out of a 10, but khorkina had no mistakes

Kui Yuan Yuan had a hop on the landing and a few wobbes i agree with the score.

Kui should've won...I think gina was overly favored b/c this was supposed to be her last competition
