Lisa Gade reviews the Apple MacBook Pro with Retina Display. Check out our full written review at: http://www.mobiletechreview.com/noteb... This 15.4" notebook with Ivy Bridge quad Core i7 CPU is the next generation MacBook Pro. It's thinner than the MBP and lighter at 4.5 lbs. It has switchable Intel HD 4000 graphics and dedicated Nvidia GeForce GT650M graphics with 1 gig VRAM. The Mac starts at $2,199 and it has 8 gigs of RAM and a 256 gig SSD. New is the HDMI port and USB 3.0 ports. The star of the show is the 2880 x 1800 Retina Display that supports several resolutions.

Should I get a MacBook Pro or MacBook Air for just surfing the web and gaming?

I wouldn't buy a MacBook Air for gaming unless you pretty much stick to casual games like solitaire. Get a Pro with dedicated graphics.

I use photoshop, have a hundred tabs open in chrome (exagerating), word docs, plus itunes and a movie/video running 24/7 on my slothish pc. I am looking to buy a macbook pro, would the 15" retina be a good choice Lisa?

Finally! An in depth review. I have been searching all over for a video like this one. You covered all of the bases, pricing, and gave us your recommendations. Also, you were to the point, had clear pronunciation, and you never got off topic. Great Review!
