I lol-ed affectionately at the "Mrs. Calabash" comment. I spent a lot of years without a clue to who Mrs. Calabash was [wherever she was...], and I'm not entirely sure I ever heard the REAL story. But bless Uncle Jay for remembering, and bless Jimmy Durante...wherever HE is.

Yes, the poor kids of today, not knowing about things from OUR time. Like televisions where one would actually have to get up to turn the channel or adjust the volume. Or how about when something called Minute Rice was thought of as real rice, and before there was microwave Minute Rice, which takes 5 minutes, not one. ???
Dare I bring up "white-wall tires", or "full service gasoline stations"? How about 45's, and no, not the weapon, but a source of entertainment!
(I'm getting old!)
