Hello- I don't sell anything. I video blog about fibromyalgia. I've had the disease for a long while, with some ups and downs, but I'm leading a very full and active life. My son has Pediatric (Juvenile) Fibromyalgia. Fibromyalgia is a genetic disease. (University of North Carolina did a terrific study on this in 2006.)

I network with others who have fibromyalgia, sharing information.

I also keep a written blog about fibromyalgia on my family website, www.surfercouple.com. (My husband and I enjoy surfing. We're longboarders.) We used to live right on the beach, but had to move because of me. The cold, damp climate and fog were aggravating my fibromyalgia. I cried when we left the ocean behind. But, now that my son has been diagnosed, I realize it was the best move for us as a family. We're 12 miles from the ocean now, (40 minutes since we have to cross the mountains.) But, the climate change has made a world of difference. Without the cold, damp fog and chill, I feel a lot better.

My son and I are both on the Guaifenesin Protocol, a controversial treatment developed by R. Paul St. Amand, MD. You can look him up on Google or Wikipedia. There's tons of info on the web, and its like brussels sprouts-- folks are either fans or critics. There's seems to be no in-between. I've been on the protocol for four years, and feel it has helped me tremendously. (For the record, I like brussels sprouts.)

I also keep a written blog about Pediatric (Juvenile) Fibromyalgia at my family site, www.surfercouple.com.

I don't sell anything, so please return the courtesy and don't spam me with the stuff you're trying to sell. I won't buy it anyway. I don't believe folks should profit off those who have fibromyalgia. It's an awful enough disease without folks driving us into the poor house with snake oil ointments and faux herbal supplements. We may have fibrofog, but we weren't born yesterday. Pawn your supplements off on some other disease.

  • Hi Mary! Well, on the Guai Protocol, we can have any teas except for medicinal teas, which are usually the kind you would purchase at a health food store. We can have the kind you get at the grocery store, like "cranberry zinger," and other fruity kinds. However, for those of us on the Guai Protocol, we are advised to keep our teas weak, and not drink too much of them. I stick to one cup of tea of day. - Diana
