Bottom line is the ME 262 Schwable is the FIRST JET to shoot another plane down thats what matters. The British stuff was junk before during and after the war.

mustangs were cheaper to build and were almost as fast as the 262, but not as ; )

@fivesixtysl And don't you forget, the axis powers had been at war in Europe and in the far East for at least five years before the United States were dragged into the conflict. The Axis powers had the luxury of a military build up during peacetime before they decided on a quest of expanding their empires where as Britian and America had to defend and build as they went along during the fighting

You forget, the Germans were fighting against about 20 of the biggest countries in the world.

That was definetely megalomaniac.

But still, the innovation power of this country was incredible and not to compare to any other power in the world.

Brits invented Radar, that's right...

Germans invented: x-ray, automobile, jet plane, steerable rocket, fm (because the brits prohibited the am frequencies in Germany after WW II), television etc. etc.

You know what, 90% of German army destruction imposed by Red army, and also late in the war German war machine was working with 25% of standard needed fuel. Germany was not fighting even with one of his hands to Allied. All military experts believe no single power was able to defeat Nazi Germany.

@jacob1363 You do know that the Brits invented Radar, and they also broke all the Krauts Radio codes. The Allies listening in on every move the krauts made and took the game to a higher level because of this British techology ....The Third Reich lost a great deal of their best planes and pilots over the skies of England in the batlle of britian and any german assigned to a u-boat was as good as dead...
