This is an overview of how I wired a Multiplex AcroMaster RC foam plane with LEDs to use as a night flyer. The LEDs are driven from a 3S LiPo through a brushed ESC, which provides variable brightness controlled from the transmitter.

  • Sorry folks, this project has been on hold for a long time. I've been concentrating on helicopters and may sell this plane as a result. Unfortunately I don't have anywhere to fly at night anymore either.

  • yeah FLY IT ALREADY !! sweet looking and will be a blast at night

  • Hey dude.

It's about time to post a flight video don't you think?

  • Got a question for you...could this object I videotaped over my town twice now be something like this? Please really watch the way the color changes in my video because it really look strange that it would pulsate like it does. I would really like you opinion since you build stuff like that. the object I estimate to be about 30ft across, and it was at 4000-4400ft in the clouds.

  • WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW

  • Nice, nice, nice!!!

  • Can't wait to see it fly!

  • Looks great! post a vid of the flight when it goes up.
