1969 BMW 2002 Racing - In-Car Video - Sovren Spring Sprints

In car video from my 1969 BMW 2002 at the 2008 Sovren Spring Sprints at Pacific Raceways. This event featured a U2 Trans-Am group sponsored by Racecraft with 2 liter and under pre-1969 cars. There are highlights from two races - the first was a regular rolling start and the second is a rare standing start.

@m91nagant Almost all 2002s with stock M10 motors use Stahl headers. The exhaust is all custom - i can't remember what muffler we used...

Thanks, lupruadu. It does look like a bit of oversteer coming out of that corner (Pacific Raceways in Seattle). It's a very tight corner and easy to get loose there.

That is one hell of af BMW! =) What kind of engine is that? I´m building an M10 motor right now and I want it to go like this!! =D

This is an M10 motor. We can't change a lot in vintage racing and it complies to Sovren rules. It does have dual weber side drafts (45's) and a Shrick cam (not too aggressive). Since this engine was built to be reliable (i.e. modest horsepower) it does have decent torque which helps on the corner exits.
