I'm a die hard John Mayer fan. I can say without guilt that I like him better Hendrix, BUT Hendrix is a legend. No one in a million years will be able to play like him.

hendrix playing is way ahead on that year before he died...a lot of guitarist try to mimic his style of playing that include mr john mayer and me of course haahaha! peace!

Why does everyone argue about Hendrix and Mayer on every Mayer video? Who cares? Every single person has their own opinion and it really doesn't matter what you think. Just enjoy the damn music people.

im sorry, did u really just say that mayer is better than hendrix (excuse me if u didnt). but that is just foolish. mayer has talent out the ass, im a huge fan but he cant take the guitar where hendrix could. jimi was far more inventive and could create more rythmic and colorful guitar lines. just about any musician today would agree... and that includes mayer.
