Robin Hood Tax Campaign

Chris Martin (Coldplay), Mark Ruffalo (Avengers, The Kids Are Alright), Tom Morello (Rage Against the Machine) and economist Jeffrey Sachs star alongside ordinary Americans in calling for a Robin Hood Tax.

The Robin Hood Tax campaign is calling for a tax of less than half of 1% on Wall Street transactions that could generate hundreds of billions of dollars each year.

A Robin Hood Tax on Wall Street will provide funding to kickstart the economy and get America back on its feet by creating jobs and strengthening public services like health care, education and infrastructure at home while tackling AIDS, global health, poverty and climate challenges around the world.

Romney would call this stupid,otherwise it would mean he would have to contribute his FAIR share of taxes to help with infrastructure,education,regul­ation safety for bridges/buildings/roads and transport/sanitation...things everyone in a free society uses. Romney's belief- storing his wealth in tax shelters in other countries so he can keep his share of taxes from the country that gave him his start. These services need upkeep, but he won't contribute. Meanwhile everyone else covers his share.

LOL, the Robin Hood tax will pay for education, medical care, create jobs, healthcare for 33 million HIV+ people in the world,housing, care for the poor, eliminate global warming and buy land for urban farms.

I believe these people need a drug test if they actually believe the Robin Hood tax can do all of that. Anyway, I wouldn't give a nickel to the whole lot. Probably none of them have a real job. REE LOADERS is what I think!

Mark Ruffalo is a liar and a thief who stole from our business. He wants everything HERE and NOW and when he doesn't get it, throws a tantrum. Basically, he special ordered some merchandise through us, entered a contract for our services, broke the contract, STOLE our copy of the contract and charged back the credit card transaction.

Say what you want, but you've never had the displeasure of meeting him or dealing with him- I cannot support his work in film, as I know the man underneath.

Stock traders didn't cause the financial crisis. Government leaders softened financial regulation from Reagan's presidency until now, allowing extremely risky securities to be created. These junk securities were used as a tool to boost company earnings which lead to increased salaries and huge bonuses for corporate executives. When the bubble burst these firms got bailed out instead of broken up. Financial regulation, salary & bonus caps are just some solutions to prevent another collapse.
