"G-FORCE: GUARDIANS OF SPACE" IS A COPYRIGHT OF SANDY FRANK ENTERTAINMENT. UNDERLYING PROPERTY ("SCIENCE NINJA TEAM GATCHAMAN") IS A TRADEMARK AND COPYRIGHT OF TATSUNOKO PRODUCTION CO.,LTD. ALL OTHER TRADEMARKS, COPYRIGHTS & LICENSES HAVE BEEN ACKNOWLEDGED. NO INFRINGEMENT INTENDED.
This is the opening sequence to "G-Force: Guardians of Space" (1986), the second of three English adaptations to Tatsunoko Productions' "Science Ninja Team Gatchaman" (1972), following Sandy Frank Entertainment's initial effort "Battle of the Planets" 1978 and preceding ADV Film's recent uncut, unedited release, known as just "Gatchaman" (2005).
The opening to "G-Force" utilizes some pieces of the original "Gatchaman"'s openings, but also utilizes scenes from the first episode and most notably the two designated "pilot" episodes to this adaptation (Episodes 18 and 85, the latter originally Gatch Episode 87), ending with a slide of the "G-Force" title screen which unfortunately is not animated (most likely due to the tight budget the dub was produced on).
Unlike its "Gatchaman" and "Battle of the Planets" breathren, "G-Force" didn't have title cards at the beginning of its episodes which made following the show and its' individual episodes quite difficult. Foreign-language dubs of G-Force attempted to correct this oversight by having the narrator announce the episode title at the start of each episode.

But you mean the Original Version, can't say "jap version" because only the original is important, the rest is trash, so this crap as best example: always yanks ruining a great classic masterpiece like this serie supposedly for just make dirty competition with the japaneses products and distribute on the world these kind of disastrous "reforms" like cut scenes with music changed by childish stupid sounds (anime deformations really actually) that yanks like to made and still do it.
LMAO yeah. Either the translators didn't pay much mind to Gatchaman's code names and attack names (they really didn't with the latter; they never settled on one name for stuff like the "Tornado Fighter" or "Bird Run", or ISO Director Anderson for that matter, calling him either "Anderson" or "Commander Todd") or they were just looking for something catchy to fill in the narration with. Not to mention the clip of Ken/Ace when Jun/Aggie's being introduced. Several inconsistencies in this dub!
@SuperAdventures XD so true. The biggest thing i hated was the way they dubbed Jinpei (NBot sure if its the G-Force dub or battle of the planets dub)...Couldnt understand a word he said. Brrdplrrrdplrrr lmao
That was the earlier "Battle of the Planets" dub, which the "G-Force" dub is often confused for by fans who grew up watching BotP. I can't stand BotP, just because of its fans' constant harping on "why did the change the names?" or "the old names/voice actors are better". Seriously, BotP was an abomination. One of the most heavily edited anime dubs OF ALL TIME. In "G-Force", Jinpei (now Pee-Wee) is pretty much identical to his Japanese counterpart. Biggest drawback of G-Force? The drum beat.
