Tankers are the backbone of the Air Force. High power to weight ratio too with the big ole CFMs too. No kickin' ass without tanker gas. Love Boeing!

I have some friends in the Air Force that say the KC-135 is one of the toughest aircraft to fly well.

Thanks for the great comment! Tankers are very stable on approach and fairly easy to fly once you get the hang of it :) but they are a pain in the behind with a crosswind and are very heavy on the controls.
