@eschele12 and yes, it is indicated on the fafsa form, or of you apply online, you want to look at the helpful hints and tips in the box on the right hand side. :)

@eschele12 there is a few places you want to look on the income tax return, depending on what kind of irs form was used, 1040, 1040a, or 1040EZ. Most commonly there will be a feild on the FAFSA to enter your Adjusted Gross Income, and Income tax amount. AGI on 1040 is line 55, on the 1040a it's line 21. For the income tax amount on 1040 it's line 37. There is also a question regarding income earned from work which on the 1040 is line 7+12+18= total income from work.

This is so corny. My college asked me to do this.... /facepalm
So students who want to go to school should be at fault because their parents didnt do good? That is a never ending chain.
