This is a tune I wrote about our 15th President James Buchanan's niece "Harriet Lane". He was our only bachelor Commander-in-Chief, thus he had Harriet perform the duties of First Lady during those tense years ticking up to the Civil War. While no one really liked him, they adored her. Women did their hair like Harriet Lane, dressed like her and named their daughters after her. A ship was named after her. Even a song "Listen to the Mockingbird" was dedicated to Ms. Lane (I play a few bars from it at the end of this tune). As usual, it's me on everything: instruments, vocals, harmonies etc.
