  • You're doing really good so far! I used to run 1.5 miles on my treadmill every day, and honestly I don't think I could have done it without the treadmill.

It's great that you want to progress, but I think you should know that a 5-minute mile is crazy fast. Whenever I had to run a mile in school, the "star athlete" runners always came out with times between 6 and 7 minutes. (Of course that was on an outdoor track, so arguably you may be able to push yourself harder on a treadmill.)

  • How do I find this program on my treadmill...I'm lost...

  • Not saying you can't do it, just giving you some info!

  • I'm so excited about this! I can't actually start running today because I don't have a treadmill and it's pouring with rain outside, but I'm gonna dust off my old glider and make a start on something. Thank you so much for inspiring me to get off my lazy behind!

  • 5 MINUTE MILE? Thats Olympics and Records times. You probably wont ever run a 5 minute mile in your LIFE. AVERAGE for a female 9-10 minutes per mile, Men is 7-8. Don't concentrate on what OTHER PEOPLE DO, worry about what YOU can do. I can run a 5k in about 20-21 minutes which is low 6's per mile and I run fast.

  • I love treadmills for the winter, but I have been opting of late to early morning walks and jogs. Since I am a night owl it ends up being like 3am so i head out to enjoy the early morning sunrise and then head home and crash. lol I got to get on a NORMAL schedule.

  • 6 miles an hour is like a 5k pace.

Which like like a ten minute mile

  • Thank you so much for posting about your workout! You are a big inspiration. I am starting my fitness program again and I hope that I will be healthier and join a 10K run next year!

PS. I agree with you about being able to exercise at home during nightime. It is one reason that I really want to have a treadmill or elliptical machine at home. I will for sure get one when I have my own place^^

  • 5 minute miles are challenging.

  • I like the ellipticle machine

dog biting is not an irrational fear :)
