@ansokagi What you are hearing is the "broadcast" version. The FCC had a very strict thing dealing with drug content on radio and in programs aimed at youth in particular. It's just the government protecting us from ourselves since they know better how to run our lives.

The lead singer of The Tragically Hip, Gordon Downie, wrote a song called "Escape Is At Hand For The Travellin' Man" in tribute of Jim Ellison after his apparent suicide. They met each other while on tour and got along really well.

This is a great track. I saw the video on filthylucre on an article remembering Jim Ellison and Material Issue. This song was my favorite from them.
