Larry Wessels, director of Christian Answers of Austin, Texas/ Christian Debater (YouTube channel CANSWERSTV; websites: BIBLEQUERY.ORG, HISTORYCART.COM & MUSLIMHOPE.COM) reviews a theological debate between Rob Zins, ThM of Dallas Theological Seminary & director of "A Christian Witness to Roman Catholicism" (website: CWRC-RZ.ORG) & Monsignor Ed Jordan, official representative of the Diocese of Austin, Texas. The Roman Catholic "Gospel" versus the Biblical one is exposed in this debate for all to see. The entire debate can be seen on YOUTUBE; search "Theological Debate with a Roman Catholic Monsignor #1: Anything Goes Faith?" in the YOUTUBE search box. Catholic traditions and inventions supercede the authority of the Bible creating a different gospel than the one presented in scripture. Galatians 1:6-9 curses those who believe in a different gospel.
This show originally aired on the Austin, Texas public access channel to 300,000 households in its full length form. To see these shows the way they initially appeared on public television go to YOUTUBE (type "LARRY WESSELS ROMAN CATHOLICISM" in the YOUTUBE search box. Remember "church" does not save you from the wrath of God but a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ through the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit (John 3:3-8, Titus 3:5-7) and this does not mean water baptism or some other "work" (1 Corinthians 1:14-19, Ephesians 2:8-10, John 1:12-13, Romans 9:11-16).

  • This is a load of old rubbish. I mean I could go for anything from this but as I only have 450 characters here's an example. Romans 1:1-2 is supposed to show salvation by faith alone according to these guys: here it is "1 Paul, a servant of Christ Jesus, called to be an apostle and set apart for the gospel of God— 2 the gospel he promised beforehand through his prophets in the Holy Scriptures" Does someone want to tell me how this is supposed to prove salvation by faith alone? Anyone?

  • @hess6wi I'm not really sure what you're talking about, but one thing is for sure, Romans talks much of salvation being by faith & not other things, get it? Educate yourself: Romans 3:22, 24, 26, 28-30; Rom 4:3, 5, 11, 16; Romans 5:1, 9; Rom 9:30, 33; Rom 10:4, 9-10; Rom 11:6 also Galatians 2:16, 21; 3:5-6, 8, 14, 22, 24; Ephesians 1:13, 2:8; Philippians 3:9; 1 Timothy 1:16. It's quite possible that the speaker meant to say Romans 5:1 instead of the 1:1-2; they're not infallible like the pope.

  • @desouzaj You've nothing useful to say that'll Scripturally or historically stand up. The Scriptures don"t teach the need for a Roman pope at all but rather faith & trust in the Lord Jesus Christ Who is the Head of the church, not Ratzinger. See our video, "EARLY CHRISTIAN CHURCH HISTORY PROVES ROMAN CATHOLICISM FALSE" & our website on church history HISTORYCART COM. "Pope" Ratzinger denies the inerrancy of Scripture, he believes men came from apes through evolution & he condones homosexuality.

  • @desouzaj "the Pope is the leader of the Catholic Church" If this is true, and you believe this, then why did Notre Dame, a Roman Catholic University, allow the most pro-abortion President ever elected to office, Obama, speak at their graduating class of 2008? Isn't the Roman Catholic church against abortion? Why did your leader, your pope, allow this kind of thing? What kind of a leader is this? Why didn't the pope call ND and tell them they can't allow this to happen? How do you explain this?

  • @desouzaj The only "foolish" talking being done is by you. Here you give us the same old, tired Romanist arguments as if they had any validity which they don't. Church history itself refutes your worthless claims. See the following: 1. our YOUTUBE show "EARLY CHRISTIAN CHURCH HISTORY PROVES ROMAN CATHOLICISM FALSE" 2. Our YT series "EARLY CHRISTIAN CHURCH HISTORY" including episode #3 "EARLY CHRISTIANS QUOTED SCRIPTURE WITHOUT A ROMANIST OR KJV BIBLE" 3. Our website HISTORYCART COM. Repent!

  • @CAnswersTV Dont be a fool, the Pope is the leader of the Catholic Church, which means hes the head of the Church, why would Jesus not protect His Church with a leader. the pope is the vicar of Christ. He is the servant of the servants of Christ. SERVANT. Not Christ himself nor Jesus. Jesus is the center of Catholicism. Jesus does control His church, you know why? Throughout all the corruption that the Catholic Church has been through, it is still here 2000 years later

  • @CAnswersTV Thanks brother.

  • @taxmiy Very well said brother! It really is "God's grace, not logic" that brings people to a knowledge of the truth (Ephesians 2:8-10). We as Christians can use all the argumentation & logic we can muster to try to convince people of the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ but in the end it is really God's grace, mercy & love that bring salvation to lost sinners (2 Timothy 2:24-26). Excellent testimony!
