You know, no matter what gets tried, no matter who tries peace, nothing will stop war from raging somewhere in the world at any given time. Someone always has something to gain somehow. Whether it be Iran, America, Germany, Russia, Britain, North Korea, whoever. As far as America "waging an indefinite war" in the Middle East, I think if you look at history you'll see indefinite is correct, but America only joined the indefinite war that has been around since long before America was even born.
