Sample part designed in Inventor at 150% normal speed. This video highlights the use of the parametric modeler, since I went back to view and/or change the first sketch several times.

Also features my popular hand-screw design on the closed end.

  • how long does this take do you ever get to mill the parts or would it take to long

  • producing the parts is a little down the line...some designs get that far, but not all. It does take some time to create the programming and run the machines so not everything can be produced easily.

  • @ydna2 If it takes you 16min to design a part, what do you do for the rest of the day? :)

  • @SPUNKKK - oh there is much to do! heheehehe

  • Good lord I need to work _hard_ on improving my 3d modeling skills. This video and the SW one definitely showed me some tips though and I am going to try to implement those into my habits. Thanks a ton for putting the videos up as they helped me a lot!
