@TheColinChapman the GP circuit at Brands is (and was in 2003 )a FIA Grade 2 circuit one step down from the F1 GP standard so CART could have raced on the GP loop in they wanted to. the same goes for DTM. Last years accident during the WTCC meeting was the first time that I can remember a car going over the spectator fence at Brands. It has happened at Donnington more than once

Because hes a pretty extreme hothead and during that time he was battling with Andretti for supremacy in the sport. Bit of a sore loser at times.

@RR1Joel using the whole circuit would have been way too dangerous, the track is not certified for that. Just remember the crashes there - Laffite 1980 in Hawthorne Bend or Cavalho this year in Stirlings Bend. For a DTM or an Indycar race, the track needs to be fully equipped with FIA standard steel fences.

Why did thhey only use the short track not the GP track?

No disrespect to PT, because he's a talented and accomplished driver, and I'm a fan of his, but he almost won the 2003 Championship by default, thinking about all the drivers and teams who left for the IRL after 2002.
