The up and down "rolling" of the RPM's is occurring at idle. the driver is not touching the gas pedal. here is a quote off The Blower Shop's website: "This is caused by a rich/lean cycle at idle. As the motor leans out the RPM's increase and richen up the motor, when the motor richens the RPM's decrease and the motor leans out again. This continual cycle is known as "blower surge". With proper tuning, some of this surging should be able to be eliminated. "
it's called "blower surge" and is due to a continual fuel LEAN then fuel RICH condition. it may sound nice, but it's actually not a good thing as far as the engine is concerned. it can be tuned out if the engine is setup properly. at the very least it creates driveability issues. some people like it.
i'm totally into raw metal and a V shaped engines.
But what i can't seem to figure out is how to make a V8 sound like this.
i used to think it was becouse this is a bigblock 454 or even above 500 cubic inch. but i've heard engines way smaller then this sound somewhat the same.
I'm talking about the raw and slow "crakling" sound at low RPM's.
Could any one tell me? Can i get this in europe once i've got my own V8?
now THAT'S what i'm talking about ;)

@blown34ford
thx, but don't you mean that the engine, when left stationary , doesn't keep the same rpm's?
