White Pass & Yukon Railway

Ride on the 3 foot narrow gauge railway from Skagway Alaska to White Pass Yukon, 1 July 2006. Videos taken with a Canon S500 Digital Elph still camera with video capability. I was shooting stills with another camera, and shot a bit of video here and there. ©2008 by Bob Boudreau

Fabulous! We've done the ride twice now, both times in May -- lots more snow around then. Since we're from Australia, snow is a novelty :-) Your video brought it all back. (Mind you, our train was MUCH shorter -- like about 6 carriages!)

Thanks for the comments! I was also shooting digital stills at the same time, so I couldn't cover everything with the other camera shooting video - a palm sized Canon Digital Elph. Wish I had covered the microphone to keep down the wind noise!

I know it's a year since you posted this, Bob, but it's still worthy of saying thanks for a great job. The WP&YR has been there for almost 110 years, so timeliness is only relative. We've cruised Alaska twice and once into Skagway.
