@fratellomartino Personally, I'm glad that Jethro Tull went the course they did in the 70's, incorporating this style would have been a travesty.
That being said, in the 70's, the closest to what's called 'metal' today was probably Black Sabbath's early material. But even Ozzie never had the oh so typical "angry growley voice" that is so predominant and overused in today's Metal.
