Me, Neal and Mike tackled Crinkle Crags and Bowfell in January 2010. It was a stunning day, about -5 deg C in valley. There was some serious snow and ice but we managed it without crampons and ice-axes and the last drag up to Bowfell was a hoot, even better coming down it as the snow was smooth and fresh covering all the nasty rocks, so we ran and jumped down like little kids. The weather was absolutely stunning as you can see from some of the shots. The contrast with the snow, , mountains, sky and valley floor is brilliant.
