Is there some sort of sick joke or something going on here? What is "sucky" about pointers? tell me this, if you had a function, and the variables passed as arguments to the function needed to be changed, would you be able to change those arguments permanently within that function without the use of referencing to the memory address of those variables? Not without pointers you can't. Pointers let you deal with memorry allocation in a lot of ways, so who's the noob now...
