  • Yes, it is a flat plane crank. Also 75 degree V8 so it is "odd-fire" which a discerning ear can hear in the exhaust note.

  • awesome.......anyone who puts 2 bike busa engines into a Seven is alright by me!! :D

  • Not trying to be rude, but the engine he has in there is an in house developed V8 using hayabusa cylinder heads. the H1 V8 is a Hartley creation.

  • i had a street car 1300kg with 400hp SB 327 4 speed ,it pulled 145kph in second gear 190kph in 3 gear .270kph in top ...looks to lifts the nose up well, that little sucker ,nice!

  • why would you need to turbo it anyway ,looks as though its got plenty of grunt. just one 1300cc busa engine turbocharged can achieve well over 450hp

turbocharging and reliability ? it all comes down to development and testing and plenty of money, the nissan skylines did well at the bathurst 1000 in Australia. punching out 700hp lap after lap ,

  • @JD0x0 You wouldn't be able to feel the difference.

  • Need more input before I can assess the requirement for applying such power to my Seven.

  • MOAR VIDEOHZ.

Seriously, I want to hear some real driving and testing of this engine with decent audio performance.

  • @JD0x0 Yeah, the old garretts are better. Still a number of them on eBay. If I can come up with the right installation design, one will end up on my engine. I have not heard good things about the new Garrett's.

  • @gbowne1 The old garretts are awesome. Ive been hearing some stuff about the new "garretts" they apparently are cheap chinese turbos made by another company that bought out garrett. The turbo's are still stamped with the name, and the new company is making that the biggest selling point. Apparently they are cutting alot of corners and a good amount of their turbos are failing.

  • @JD0x0 I love the Garrett Turbos. :-)

  • In 1989, while serving in the USAF in England, I owned two Mini cars. After making the measurements etc. I decided I could get much more HP from a motorcycle engine. I decided on the VMax 1.2 liter 145 HP liquid-cooled V4. It should do nicely I thought. I had the help of my friends from various shops on base & I was a crew chief in the AR shop & a student studying aerodynamics & acft systems. Before we ever got started to actual build phase, the Gulf War happened. SHIT! I love your project.

  • @oneshotkill324 yes, small turbos with low boost can be okay especially if properly built and settup. But IMO nothing beats the response and reliability of a properly tuned n/a engine. not adding the extra weight is always good too
