The dog warden arrived on scene minutes later. Dave Nelson, acting Mahoning County Dog Warden says, "I was able to make contact and he advised me that he only has one dog and that it's a poodle. The evidence is telling me, people say he put the dog inside the basement." Dustin Anglin, at first, refused to return to help with the investigation, so the dog warden, fire department, and police waited for a search warrant, hoping to seize the dog in question. However, two and a half hours later, Anglin finally arrived and showed the unlicensed pit bull to the authorities. Police arrested the Youngstown man on charges of obstruction of justice, failure to confine a vicious animal, and failure to have insurance on the pit bull. Anglin could also face felony charges for the injured boy.

  • This pit bull was not vicious. You could do anything to that dog and she wouldn't bite you. She was probably trying to play with the boy and she got too rough.

  • @ihateanimalshelters Until she manage to go out of the house and bite someone, them you should be killed.

  • All dogs are agressive by nature regardless the race of the dog, but pitbulls and other big dogs have tremendous bite force that can do far more damage.

  • It is the physiological characteristics of these dogs that can be dangerous.

Let's say 1% of all dogs bite. The Pit and the related/mixed breeds are #1statisically for serious and fatal injuries. If a Pit attacks, it has the highest propensity to harm or kill.

Sadly, so many owners do not understand this and fail to properly restrain and keep constant control of their dogs.

  • No gov't should be able to keep anyone from owing any dog. I own a pitbull and will protect her fiercely. The only people that should be euthanized are the pitbull abusers. I own a 100 LBS pitbull and she is nothing but a big baby that would not hurt a fly.

  • @Taud Yep ,touche' .Pit Bulls should have a different name. And then no one would care.

  • stupid cocksucker... he deserves to be chewed up by his own illegal dog.

  • I think part of the problem is the Dealers and Pimps all having this dog and the majority of the breeders have ties to organized crime and dog fighting rings, so of course the majority of them are aggressive, on the other hand i dont agree with licensing and insuring the dog, when i had mixed breeds no one gave a sh!t to tell the police, but as soon as its the "legendary child killer" its hot topic for gossip amongst the housewives on the block....

  • WRONG

    another internet expert.

They were bred to be stout , strong and have powerful jaws. APBT are terrible hunters. They become aggressive because of the humans that own them using these traits as advantages in dogfights/dogfighting.

Stick to things you to speak about. Like Slipknot.

  • No it the fucking fact they were bred to fight. They are agressive by NATURE.

People should have to get license to have them now, in my area so many of them are stray its unsafe to walk down the read with out a gun to kill one if it decides to attack you. And yes people do MISTREAT their dogs but that doesnt change the fact that pitbulls are agressive to begin with.
