Second Sunday Easter is celebrated as Divine Mercy Sunday in Catholic Church.
In this place the Sister Faustina Kowalska had the first and most important the vision of the Merciful Jesus. Jesus demanded it from sister Faustina in this place on February 22nd, 1931 (Was First Sunday of Lent)
Near the Market Square is the Divine Mercy Shrine which is a destination for many religious pilgrims. On February 22nd, 1931 Sister Faustyna Kowalska experienced her first and most important of the image of Merciful Jesus here. She was later canonized by Pope John II. The museum of Saint Sister Faustyna was created in commemoration of her 100th birthday anniversary.
