"Lanois is a joke"?
Lanois has the finished song in his head. He knows EXACTLY what the drummer needs to do, he knows exactly what the singer needs to do. He's the conductor.
Might just be the reason why he's the producer of choice for Dylan and U2....

Brian Blade never ceases to amaze me. He plays with such groove... he makes it look so easy. But any musician who has ears knows the intricacies of his playing. Daniel Lanois...
he's always 110% into the song... and he's Canadian eh?!! GReat vocals too... can't go without mentioning that!

Such an exciting and talented band with Trixie carrying on her dad's amazing legacy. Can't wait to hear her live for the first time in London at The Borderline tomorrow night. YES!

Jamaican music is fascinating. Many think Rock Steady came before Ska but the heat wave of the late 60's slowed done Ska to Rock Steady. Then came Reggae after much plant smoking. Dub is undefined at this point.
