I'm not positive, but some of those chickens looked more like cats.

Beautiful girls you've got there :) You're a good soul for rescuing them. That's something I'm hoping to do in the future. Right now I've just got 6 and I love them to pieces. Great video! :)

@buckstarchaser I think he cut the plants for them to eat. It makes it easier for them to get to when cut down. Are you assuming he's using stale water? Wow, you're pathetic, wasting your time making assumptions.

@buckstarchaser Even if everything you say is true these chickens are still better off then battery hens. I worked one summer in a chicken house with 25,000 laying hens and there is no comparison. We now only eat eggs from hens we keep ourselves. But hey...whatever makes you feel good about yourself...right?

So you keep them in a small pen where you remove the plants and let them out for photo shoots or when you want amusement. Then you keep stale water for them (lower quality than in the factory). Good job on taking them from their owners so that you could have pets and feel good about yourself though.
Hi - I was cutting back the stinging nettles and allowing the sun and air to get to that part of the ground easier - makes the grass grow. However, they do like pecking at the seeds which drop off. Thanks everyone for the comments. Richard

Thanks for all the comments, glad there are so many likeminded people.
I thinks keeping chickens in back gardens is going to grow even more as we all tighten up !
