@yoshortyb - Hahaha.. my comment was anything but serious, but I do take it to heart. Probably because I wasn't always a deadhead. For years I had no interest and just didn't get it. Then I went to a show with a friend (6-15-92) to see what the big deal was. Neither of us had been to a Dead show and I had never heard Terrapin Station. We had a mushroom salad and went in. When they played Terrapin I was pulled in for life! I went to many more & started collecting shows. -enjoy c:

@dreamwad1 We're deadheads, don't take it so seriously. It might not be their type of music.

@ToGetToTerrapin This is the opening song from the "Ticket to New Year's" DVD. 1987, Oakland Coliseum Arena. One of my favorite GD DVD's, great question and answer section, the Band is hilarious! Also, my favorite Uncle John's Band is on this one. The Jerry guitar solo in the middle will move you to tears. I'm tearing up thinking about it.

Brent-era Dead was it for me ...couldn't really keep it going in the Vince years, even though there was some great energy in '91 and Bruce added a lot... But man, this is just another example of what a fat and complex sound Brent brought. Jerry never rocked so hard as when he had Brent's hammond B-3 boot up his ass...
