This is the music that plays on the overworld map for most of the game, as requested by lob31. The music was recreated with Mario Paint Composer.

If you're interested in other classic (pre-PS2) Final Fantasy or Chrono Trigger music, I plan on recreating a lot more, so please feel free to subscribe to my videos. Also, if you have a specific request, see my long post in my profile comments back on December 6 for details.

Thanks for watching!

  • "most of the game"

Isn't it actually all of the game? In fact, I think this is the first Final Fantasy (well, at least from IV and up, but I can't vouge for I, II, or III since I haven't played them the full way through) to have only one overworld theme.

  • It's been a few years since I played the game. I thought there was a different overworld music on Disc 4, though I could easily be wrong.

  • @TripLxChaos So? I'm already past that by now. It's a little late for that. Squall is already like level 54. Besides, I enjoy a challenge.

  • @sirloinestake its not about what part of the game its about location in the game MOST of the game is all this theme, but there are very small points of the game where the music is different, obviously when flying ragnarok its different but asides form that i cant remember but being close to pandora ship or during time compression being close to the castle is different, if you leave the castle throught he portals wherever they take you the music goes back to normal (i think, its been awhile)

  • @MetaKnight640000 why would you want to level grind? enemies become stronger at every 10 lvl interval aka 10 20 30 40 your best bet is to get to around lvl 39 thats when you have pretty optimal damage and the enemies dont have rediculous amounts of health.

  • @speyeker I'll let you know if you're right once I get through disc three. I'm still level grinding and collecting materials though since I neglected to upgrade weapons and such early on. But I'm pretty sure that after Time Compression the overworld theme changes.

  • Great rendition. Maybe you could have used something else besides the stars though...really high pitched and tone is also very sharp and short.

  • epic

  • Excellent!

  • I was just thinking that, when I was listening to this - but you already commented XD

  • Lovely. :) Honestly, this song is overlooked. It has to be my favorite.

  • this song makes me want to just.... wander lol
