A quick video to show the difference in speed between the iPhone 4S and iPhone 4.
Just to clarify a few points.
I do not claim this to be in any way a scientific test. I did try to hit the screens at the same time, most are pretty accurate.
The iPhone shown is a 3 month old Apple referb. Both phones had just been installed with iOS5 (reformat) and rebooted. They are linked to the same iTunes account so have the same apps installed (just ordered slightly differently).
The clips are edited to remove the footage of me closing the apps. Each app launch was made with no other apps running.
Both phones are connected to the same wireless network.

0.5 or 1 second faster...but who cares...u are not going to use the iphone 4s comparing it with the iphone 4 everyday...wake up apple! u r losing the battle, samsung htc nokia and even lg are right in front of you! dont focus too much on speed ...we need earth shattering features!

The iPhone 4 doesnt have a sim card in it and the iPhone 4S does and although they are working off wifi the 4S has a stronger connection AND a sim card so it is going to be faster!!

if you did not have an iphone and were to purchase one, go for the 4s. the speed difference will be VERY useful in future generations of iOS
