yes science is based on observation, and what you conclude from said observation is based on the paradigm through which you practice science. For christians, science is interpreted from a creationary perspective; for atheists, an evolutionary perspective. You cannot treat an atheistic cosmology as fact, just as you cannot treat a creationary cosmology as fact. This is because science is based on observation. No one has witnessed the creation of the universe.

Science is based on study and observation by countless learned individuals over centuries which is constantly updated as we learn and understand more. Your beliefs are based on a 2000 year old book written only by a select few who sought to control others by fear of damnation in an afterlife. You see? Why do you not take the Bible literally. First He separated light from darkness and call it day and night and that was the first earthly day in time. I guess if science told you they find 4.5 billion years rock you'll still take it literally. I'm sorry women but science is not that. Science is just study. You wouldn't study if you know already. Science values theories more than facts. Fact is worthless in it.
