Yesterday during New London's annual Food Stroll, three Connecticut College Students from a Color Theory class did the finishing touches blending one of them into the side of the Public Library building. Here's some of the footage.
Who remembers that this library building was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright?
Actually it was Shepley, Rutan and Coolidge. The Amtrak station was Wright and so was the Bill Memorial Library over in Groton.
At one point local artist George Clarke walked his dog up State Street past all the goings on. I mentioned to him that I wish James Montford was still local to see this, and that I really wish Mac Lucas was still alive to see it. He agreed.
Oh yeah, the classical guitar piece I began and ended with is a song I wrote a very long time ago that I've never developed further into any kind of movement or anything, so I haven't produced it or anything. Someday.

Cameo at 3:09 by Brittany Decker who won the second annual MyTV9 Be A Star competition. A somewhat strange concept that's a hybrid between Broadcast Journalist and American Idol contestant. Anyhew, winner gets a camera and access to the studios so you're a cross between a Dan Rather / Ann Nyberg type and an iReporter foning in stuff I guess. Anyhew, she was so unassuming and just came up and filmed, I didn't even know it was her. Good work, Brittany!
