In life reality, we've become very good at disguising our reactions -- but the openings, shift into light weight and ending in a freeze are still there. The model doesn't ever imply that any two reactions are identical. And we can observe in life the unlimited qualities of HOW people react. In acting reality, however, reactions, and the quality of HOW we perform the reactions, are one third of what we have available to us as actors to communicate to an audience what we're thinking.

@BillyDaAsian The absolute best and authoritative book on Stanislavsky and ALL of his different techniques is: "Stanislavsky in Focus, 2nd Edition," (Routledge Theatre Classics) written by Sharon Marie Carnicke. She's a theater professor at USC and she reads and speaks Russian. The book is written for a university audience but it demystifies much of the lore that has been told about Stanislavsky over the years and clearly explains his four major techniques, and their precise dates of creation.

@Payzee101 Thanks Payzee for your continued interest in the complete DVD! The publisher wants a book to accompany the DVD so that's the delay. It covers the same sequence of models as the DVD but adds additional exercises and explanations. I'm just now finishing up the additional charts for it. Haven't finalized the artwork for the covers yet but you'll be pleased with the DVD itself -- interactive indices unlike any other acting DVDs on the market. I'll keep you posted. Thanks again. Tim
