You could have just connected all those motors to the same transmission and used a 1:12 gear ratio and smaller wheels so that it would still go very fast and probably accelerate better.

Thank you, Delfingirl for your comment. I checked out your Helicopter - but could not find your Sumo robot.
Regarding your comment - Generally It is not a good idea to have a fast Sumo bot - unless your strategy is to run away from your opponent. Checkout my sumo robots in YouTube and in NXTLog [BlueToothKiwi]
