what is that black mark dot on the paper,,,

is that black powder or china firework powder

  • @bestamerica It is magic marker. The light will reflect from the white paper but not from the dark spot. You need the dark spot to get hot enough to ignite the Flash Paper.

  • yeah but the US wont allow >5mw lasers to be bought or used any more... dang! i wanted a powerful laser.

  • They can have my 100mW laser when they pry it from my cold dead fingers.

However dealextreme won't ship to US. I wonder what Wicked lasers is doing about this...

  • I have a 95mW dragon laser than can do this

  • have you ever tried hitting yourself with it?

  • @bestamerica In general, darker color and duller finish absorb heat faster. So if you have a bright, polished chrome or white surface, it will reflect most of the heat off of it. However, a dull (possibly sanded) black surface will absorb most of the heat. To put this in proper context (so the science Nazis don't flame me) heat is infra-red radiation, which is a form of light. All light does what I described, it's just the effects are most pronounced with IR and a couple of other wavelengths.

  • thanks its people like you that make this world grate

  • @xmbomagic

    fuck you

  • fool

  • more powerful lasers show better then their lower powered same nm olored buddys if you have a 5 mW and a 50 mW you will clearer see the beam in daylight etc

  • is every laser supposed to draw a line in the air or only those > 30mW?
