Upside to compound bows is that you can hold them forever. What draw is this bow?

I shoot traditional bows, i pull the bow with my palm in. Is there an advantage to pulling it with your palm out, if any? Do you see down the shaft of the arrow better?

@Antimidation It's just the release device. I shoot recurve palm in same as anyone else. Just can't anchor right that way with a trigger.

Compound bows are like training wheels, they are too fragile also with all those moving parts and pulleys, if I had a choice for one weapon in a zombie apocalypse it would be a recurve

Nice form. Sure amazes me how female archers shoot. I like traditional archery you should try it sometime, much more of a challenge and much more addicting! Thanks for posting!

@Fadsmashers The topic of zombies sometimes comes up at the range.

If firearms aren't available (if, like me, you live in a gunless third world hellhole like England) you must consider rate of fire:

Compound - far too slow.

Recurve, not a whole lot better.

Frankly if you're not shooting a traditional bow you've not got a prayer. I shoot recurve.

You'd better pray it's slow, undead zombies and not fast, virus zombies too... you'll have just one shot at the fast buggers before the hurt starts.

When Zombies come I say go with a bow. Then pull a Dukes of Hazard and tape dynamite to an arrow while a friend lights it. Innovate people. It's the only way to survive when the zombies come.

I shoot recurve, but my choice for a zombie apocalypse is still the 12gauge. It's a classic.
