Okay,
The bbq scene is verry innacurate. Assuming that's the equivalent of the party scene where Romeo and Juliet meet (which chronologicly would make sense), Romeo should not have been so easily interacting with the capuletes (especialy Tybalt with whom he is cooking snags).
Seccondly, Juliet would never have told her mother about Romeo. Her parents never would have approved and that's why she was forced to tell her maid.
In the scene where Mercutio dies, romeo should have tried to stop him.
