I wish there was some way to learn that horn here in Texas.

I guess you have to be a self learner, bukkehorn, from what I've heard, isen't the biggest instrument in Texas :p

@TheGeneralBurn Goat horns. Cow or other Cattle horns were used as signaling horns and occasionally had holes drilled in them to be used as tuned musical instruments. They play different and have a different tone to them though.

@ergunayral1991 Odd Sylvarnes Lund, most of the bukkehorn-pieces on this channel is from his cd "Lur og bukkehorn"

@Nordavind346 Folk music thrives from people who don't have a clue about what they're doing. I like that about it.

@AndyHirt We have alternate terms in English. Billygoat = male goat. Nannygoat = female goat. Some people call the male moose a bull moose. Deer; male= buck, female= doe. It's not a cut and dried single system. English has multiple influences from various language groups that began with its early history.
-
In English, you often pick the male or female and call both animals that. Cow is a female, bull is male; together they're cows. Goose=female; gander=male. Together=goose (pl.=geese). Vixen=female; fox=male. Together=fox(es). Bitch=female; dog=male; together=dogs. Not always though: bruin=male bear; sow=female, etc.

@TheGeneralBurn These are of Ram(goat) horns. But horns made of cowhorns are also used, though not for complex songs like this.

@Runarkh96Zzz Geit/goat doesnt mean specifically female goat no, its a general term for the animal. I didnt know the english word for bukk so i wrote goat, no big deal, i guess most people understand.
