Maybe some one can help me. I've been a treasure hunter all my life. I know where tonnes of dumps that I picked clean lots of good locations. I have found a lot with my eyes and gut feeling. I want to star tmetal detecting because I am positive I've passed a lot of good stuff in the last 30 years. I've been trained on medal detectors for looking for land mines. Now I want to for myself I don't have much money to spend and do not know brand names. Can any one point me in a good direction? TY

@patrick258181 Metal detectors come in a wide range of prices. The low end models will never parallel the high end models in performance. You get what you pay for. I am partial to Minelab detectors. I also think Whites and Fisher make great detectors. If you can't afford a new detector, then definitely check out used ones. Good Luck.
