shouldn't the same law apply to the second part of the equation. 3x = (-6) not -2. Or what is it that changes to make the second part (-2)?
-
nvm. I see how she came up with -36. she just added -15x too -21x to get -36x.
-
where did she get the -36 from?
-
WHAT IS THE POINT IN MATH. But thanks ;)
How did she arrive at 72????

@leave12 that is the beginning equation. To solve you must distribute, which gives you -36x=72. Then divide both sides by -36, which leaves you with the answer of -2.
