This music captures the essence of each painting, not overpowering each one but acts as a mantel to portray each timeless treasure. You were able to display in clear detail each painting, stirring a desire in me to step back into time.

The painter is someone who i recently discovered, I think his work is very beautiful in both portrait and still life.

The music is a rarely played piece that has a haunting and moving adagio movement. I'm so glad you enjoyed it. Thanks.

The Van Rysselberghe family has lived in Oost-Vlaadaren, Belgium for many centuries. My family left in 1821. Theo left Ghent for Paris nearly 70 years later. There, Theo helped found an Art Fraternity in Paris called Les XX. The pointellist later resided in Morrocco, I believe with his brother, Octave. Meanwhile, Theo's daughter Maria fathered the child of Andre Gide, the writer.

Thank you for your comment. Your great uncle was a wonderful painter. I recently received as a gift the book published by Bozar Books about him. I'm looking forward to finding out more about him.

Absolutely beautiful, and what a haunting, wistful piece. Almost seems like Elgar or Delius - have to find out more about this Paque! Interestingly, the way my computer screen is, the images seem to shimmer.

Many paintings are in the City Museum of Ghent, that's where I live. Strange that a small country (Flemish part) had so many artists.
