Interesting. I assume his accent tells us he's from an extreme underclass background, which would also explain signs of malnutrition and complete unawareness of aesthetics.

The first outfit accentuates his huge hips and tiny shoulders, which may be as much a problem as the status reading. The second outfit pads his shoulders. The white collar makes his neck appear thicker, and the sunglasses balance the lack of hair. So this is about aesthetics as much as status.
