"I pronounce it aluminium/'cos there's an I next to the U and M"

=D
My confusion at Americanisms aside, that's a hell of a wierd guitar. How does it play and sound? Also, how heavy is that thing? I know Aluminium is a light metal, but that much of it must weigh a ton.
Anyway, that's certainly something different. Looks amazing.

Luvin' it! :)

I know this is a year later...can't believe I missed your response. Yeah...I was partly kidding. It's a very different looking kind of guitar for sure. ; )

Take a listen to the Climax Blues Band with Pete Haycock on a Veleno to hear that great aluminum sound!

If somebody tries to not pay you for a gig you can always threaten him with the headstock.

Would have loved to hear a sound sample

Nice guitar. Around how much do these sell for?
what is the name of the pickguard? Lexan? Where did you get it? Thanks!

@killpopstudio Yes, Lexan. It's similar to plexiglass but made from polycarbonate rather than acrylic. It's a little more durable. You can get small Lexan sheets at places like Lowes.

Geez. With all that aluminum, I hope you installed a zinc block to prevent corrosion.

@theshyguitarist I laughed when I saw your comment but if you're being serious, my apologies. It never even occurred to me to put a sacrificial anode in the guitar since alum is usually an anode itself. I'm not sure that it would benefit anything. Aluminum forms a thin layer of aluminum oxide when protects it from corrosion for many years. If it dulls, I'll buff it up but honestly, I'll be long dead & gone before the guitar would corrode. The next guy will have to worry about it! Thanks!

I was just reading comments about Travis Beans going out of tune alot due to the aluminum reacting to temperature changes. How's your guitar fare. Did Veleno's have this issue?

Yes, mine also goes out of tune due to temperature impact. Not just from hot stage lights either. The heat transfer from your hands moving all over the neck for 10 minutes or so knocks it out of tune a little. It eventually settles down as the temperature stabilizes.
